My education and medical training is one of my most prized possessions. Excelling academically has always been one of my top priorities. The Horvat Scholarship Foundation and funds graciously provided to me in honor of Dr. Horvat allowed me, a college student who had lost her parents at a young age, to devote all of my energy toward studying, performing undergraduate research, and creating friendships that will last a lifetime. The knowledge (and friendships) I gained in college have carried me through medical school the last four years, and so has the Dr. Horvat scholarship funds. I am beyond fortunate to have received funding for my education during both my undergraduate and medical school years. I am excited to graduate from medical school in the spring of 2020, and will be forever grateful to both the late Dr. Horvat and his family, as well as all who are involved with The Horvat Scholarship Foundation. I hope to return to my hometown of Avoca, PA to serve many of the same families the late Dr. Horvat did.
